There are many ways in which your  home based business can earn passive income via the internet.

And it's not just passive income that you can generate. The more revenue streams you add to your business in terms of extra home income, the less risky it becomes. So let's take a look at some of the different ways in which you can make money online…

If you managed to watch the video I pointed you to in a previous post, you'll have seen an overview of quite a few different ways in which you can make money. Indeed your business really can generate extra income by adding different monetization strategies…

The video highlights quite a few ways to generate home business income online:

• Infopreneur
• E-Goods ~ especially non-fiction "how to", e-photos (booming!), and even niche software
• Finder's Fees
• Hard Goods
• Service Seller
• Sales Agent
• Webmasters and Marketing Pros

This list mentions a few of the most popular ways in which you can monetize. 

Now if you're looking at the list above, and it means nothing to you, don't worry. We'll cover some of these in future posts too.

But the points I'd like you to take away from this post are:

• In the next few posts, we'll be exploring the C-T-P-M process: Content - Presell - Traffic - Monetize
  
  
• Monetize means 'to make money'.
  
  
• The 'Monetize' step comes last…
  
  
• You can't make money if there's no-one there to sell to! That's why the first three steps (Content - Presell - Traffic) are so important.
• The first three steps (Content - Presell - Traffic) are what you will be focusing most of your time on, at least at first.
• If you've done the first three steps well, then Monetization is the easy part.
• If you want to make the most amount of money you can, your aim should be to build trust and credibility with your visitors. This is part of the 'Presell' stage, which we'll cover in more depth in later posts.
• Don't put all your eggs in one basket! Minimize the risk by setting up multiple income streams: The best way to build a stable, long-term, financial future, is to diversify. Blending together a variety of monetization strategies, is the most prudent way.
• There are lots of ways in which you can monetize: infopreneur, e-goods, finder's fees, hard goods, service seller, sales agent etc. Some are more suitable for your situation than others.

We'll cover the monetization strategy that I recommend you try first, in a forthcoming post.

Indeed, when it comes to online business, making that extra home income is just a matter of adding another revenue stream to your monetization mix. Just as long as you've put the time in to get those important first three steps in:

Some monetization strategies will suit you better than others. But the great news is that you have choice… lots of it.
