In today's Internet age, you really can base your business at home and earn honest income.  You can literally work from home and create residual income, generated by free traffic from the Search Engines. Yes indeed, internet marketing certainly is a great opportunity to get into.

As we touched upon in a previous post, there are many ways in which you can make money online, including:

• Infopreneur
• E-Goods ~ especially non-fiction "how to" (e.g. how to train your dog), e-photos (a growing market), and even niche software
• Finder's Fees
• Hard Goods
• Service Seller
• Sales Agent
• Webmasters and Marketing Pros

The above list mentions a few of the most popular ways in which you can monetize.

This might be a good time to refresh our memories of the strategy that I recommend, particularly if you are new to internet marketing:

The Strategy In A Nutshell …

1. Write content on your chosen topic (a hobby or passion, or a topic in which you have experience)

2. Turn the content into web pages (easier than you think - there are tools that do this for you, in a snap, nowadays)

3. Search Engines (e.g. Google, Yahoo, MSN) send you visitors (called 'traffic') **for free**

4. You 'presell' and 'monetize' in any way you want

Does that strategy sound familiar to you? Yep, it's actually the C-T-P-M strategy:

The C-T-P-M Strategy In A Nutshell …

Remember:

The 'C-T-P' steps are what get you to the 'monetize' part (M).

But for now, let's jump ahead and take a closer look at that list of monetization strategies you can pick from (above). Of those monetization strategies above, let's talk about the one that seems to suit newbies very well…

Monetization Strategy: Infopreneur

For most of you who are just starting out, this is the monetization strategy that will probably suit your situation the best, at least at first.

Many visitors to this site express an interest in learning how to create passive income (an ongoing stream of income, even while you're sleeping). Well, becoming an infopreneur is one of the simplest ways to do this (when you follow the Content - Presell - Traffic - Monetize process, that is).

But this particular strategy is not the 'be all and end all'. As you can see from the monetization list above, there are lots of ways to make money online, and hopefully we'll cover more monetization strategies in future posts. But for most of you, my primary recommendation especially when you are getting started, is the 'infopreneur' strategy.

Why?

Because the money you make does not depend on whether you work on your site that day.

Because it means you don't have to worry about selling anything.

You don't have to worry about buying, stocking, and shipping products.

You don't even have to worry about providing customer service. None of that…

To base your business at home and generate honest income via internet marketing, can take many routes.  You can work from home, have nothing to sell, and yet still create residual income by becoming an 'infopreneur' and attracting free traffic from the Search Engines.

 So… what does being an infopreneur, actually mean?
