Create Income From Leads Generated By Free Traffic For Your Home Based Business ~ Infopreneur
There are many ways in which you can create income from leads. Traffic from Search Engines, for example, can turn your home based business into a great income generator.
Indeed, the internet can open the door if you want to work at home. You can work towards attracting enough ongoing traffic to your site to create a fixed income that keeps on going, month after month.
Strategy, of course is important. And you'll have probably noticed by now that I (the Home Business Geek) recommend that newbies who have no experience with making money online, start with the C-T-P-M strategy. So that's the strategy. But how do you make money from this?
Well, there are many ways in which you can choose to make money when you follow the C-T-P-M strategy. And today we'll talk about just one way… the infopreneur.
Monetizing as an 'infopreneur' is one of the most simple methods of making money online. In this case, you're still creating income via leads (that come from free traffic from Search Engines like Google). But the way in which you choose to 'monetize' these leads is the key…
What Does
'Infopreneur' Mean?
Being an infopreneur means that you capitalize on the fact that people are looking for information (or in other words, Content).
People are looking for information. And they want good quality information, at that. And they want it now, at their finger-tips. They want to type in a few key words into Google, or Ask Jeeves, or Yahoo for example, and be presented with a nice list of sites that all have the information they're looking for, all within a matter of seconds.
'OK, so where's the money?', you ask? 'All I see is me slogging away, writing content. So people find my site via Google and read my content…. but where's my reward?'
The 'reward' is in what 'advertisers' are willing to pay you, in order to place their 'advertisements' amongst your lovely content. Do it properly (here's a free guide that shows you how to do it step-by-step), and that information you've written and put online, will attract the 'right' kind of visitors, like moths to a flame. And these 'targeted' visitors you've learned to attract to your site…
… they are the kind of visitors that 'sellers' pay good money to put their promotional messages in front of.
Let's Look At It From
An Advertiser's View-Point…
Put it this way…
Say you're a dog trainer who wants to advertize your online dog training ebook, for example. Or you have an online pet shop that specializes in dogs. Where would you prefer to spend your advertizing money? On a site about dog training? Or on a site about hairdressing tips?
You'd want to advertize on the site where you know your target market already are. If people are on a site all about dog training, then they're more likely to be interested in your dog training course or your pet shop, right?
Bottom line?
People have things to sell.
They need people… targeted, specific groups of people, to see their offers.
A good quality site, that is built around the C-T-P-M process, attracts lots of these 'targeted people'. So that's where the beginning of a great, profitable relationship is born.
Look at the magazines and newspapers! Sellers buy advertizing space in specialist magazines or local newspapers (for example), because they know that their adverts will be seen by the types of people they're targeting.
Nowadays, with the internet, content-based web sites have become great alternatives to physical magazines and newspapers. They have lots of content, and if done well, they attract lots of interested visitors, all with similar interests, who are looking for specific information. What a great place to advertize…
So in this day and age, the infopreneur (who has a good quality site that attracts lots of nice, high quality traffic) can prosper just by providing good quality information that people want.
Obviously some niches are more competitive than others , just as some niches are more profitable than others (and a competitive niche does not necessarily equate a profitable one - more on this in later posts). But my point is that, to a great extent, the internet has levelled the playing field. Depending on the niche he or she chooses, the small guy (or girl!) really **can** stake their foothold in profitable cyberspace.
Your little portal - your little web site about the topic of your choosing, becomes a hub to which a specific group of people, all with similar interests, visit. If sellers exist in your chosen niche, who are advertising things related to what you're writing about, what are the chances that they'll want to advertise on your site?
Two of the most popular ways in which you can earn money by being an 'infopreneur' are:
- Google Ads (and similar programs)
- Affiliate programs
Both are great ways in which to build a passive income. We shall cover both of these in depth in coming posts.
So you see, when it comes to creating income as an infopreneur, your leads and traffic are attracted by your content: Your home based business provides information that people search for. And in return, internet-based advertisers and merchants pay you to place their 'adverts' amongst that information.
Becoming an infopreneur is probably one of the easiest, and least stressful ways to get started via the internet, and work from home. And although it does require work (it's not easy!), in time, you can earn a fixed income - just by writing about what you love…
