In my last post, we started exploring the world of 'affiliate marketing'. Let's continue today, by briefly going over the affiliate marketing process, and by watching a free video by a work-at-home mom who's already earning money with affiliate marketing via her own home based business…

Let's start with a recap:

Affiliate Marketing goes something like this…

A merchant has an affiliate program. You like its terms and conditions (more on this in later posts). So you join.
They give you the code for your own special affiliate link.
You place that code on your web site.
If a visitor clicks on your link and BUYS from that merchant, the merchant will pay you commission.

That's an over-simplified version and there's more to this than those four steps but that's affiliate marketing in a nutshell.

In the example above, you receive commission once your visitor has clicked through via your link, and actually bought something from the merchant. But that's just one example.

Affiliate Marketing… Does It Work?

Affiliate marketing is definitely worth considering if you want to become an infopreneur. But always remember:

Creating multiple streams of income is the way to go: Mixing affiliate marketing with other monetization strategies is a prudent idea (like Google Ads for example - more on this in later posts.)

Affiliate marketing does take 'know-how' and elbow-grease.

But does it actually work? Can it earn you money?
