Today I’d like to talk a little about another way to make money online – Pay Per Click ads (PPC).  PPC is what everyone’s talking about. It’s one of the easiest ways to monetize once you have traffic. In a nutshell…

… if you’re just starting out and are not considering monetizing via PPC ads, then you can literally be leaving money on the table.

Sound interesting? You bet it is!

So first, let’s recap:

The Infopreneur ~ A Brief Recap…

In the last few posts we’ve been looking at ways in which you can make money online.  First, we looked at what it means to be an ‘Infopreneur’ here…

When you’re an Infopreneur, your aim is to attract visitors searching for information on your chosen topic e.g. dog grooming, party ideas, DJ’ing, home decor, cello playing, New York, football… whatever topic you choose.

Once those visitors land on your site, you can ‘presell’ to them, and then monetize (make money from them).

We’ll cover how to ‘presell’ in future posts. If you want to learn how to ‘presell’ right now, you can download this free ebook here…

Infopreneurs make their money via affiliate marketing and ‘Pay Per Click’ ads (PPC).  There are many other ways in which you can make money online [you can recap some of the real, honest home-based income strategies here], but affiliate marketing and PPC ads are particularly suitable for the Infopreneur, who…

doesn’t want to worry about stocking products…

…. packaging and handling…

… and customer service.

None of that is required when you monetize via affiliate programs and Pay-Per-Click ads.

So how do you do this? How do you become an Infopreneur? You follow the C-T-P-M strategy! [Recap C-T-P-M here...]

Don’t know where to start?

Well, you start with research:

You identify the niche you want to go after. You check out the competition. And you research a list of potentially profitable keywords on which to base your content. This step **cannot** be skipped. You NEED a keyword blueprint for your site before you go any further. Only then do you go onto the ‘Content’ step.

Once you’re at the ‘Content’ step, you start writing **LOTS** of good quality content on your chosen topic. Publish your content on your web site as you go along. This is easy to do nowadays because of the easy point-and-click systems out there which enable almost anyone to build a profitable, professional looking site, even if they have no technical experience whatsoever. But please do be aware that some point-and-click systems are better than others.

You can recap the ‘Content – Traffic – Presell – Monetize’ process here…

So we’ve already explored affiliate home business income (affiliate marketing) in the past couple of posts. Today, let’s explore the world of ‘Pay Per Click’ ads (PPC) and how YOU can make money from it…

Monetization Strategy: Pay-Per-Click Ads

Pay-Per-Click ads are the main source of income for many webmasters, especially those just starting out.

Why?

Because it’s so easy to implement once you have traffic

Pay-Per-Click is also known as ‘PPC’. It works like it sounds – if someone clicks on and advert, you get paid.

There are many Pay-Per-Click programs out there, but the biggest by far is Google’s AdSense program…

What Is AdSense…
And What Is All The Fuss About?

Remember the Infopreneur business model we covered earlier?

Well, once you have a web site that has high-quality content, you can apply to Google’s AdSense program. This is how AdSense works:

If they accept you, they’ll give you some code to place on your site pages. That code will automatically generate adverts on your web page.  Whenever someone visits your web page, they will see highly-targeted adverts that relate directly to the topic of your page. For example…

… say you have a web page about book-keeping tips. The AdSense code on your page, will show ads that are related to book-keeping. If a visitor clicks on one of those ads, Google will pay you.

In a nutshell, Google’s AdSense program rewards site owners (they call them "publishers") for creating content-rich web sites. It is a perfect monetization model for you, if you’re following the C-T-P-M strategy that I recommend for newbies.

AdSense really has brought that elusive, ‘perpetual dollar income’ one step closer for home business owners. It has triggered a revolution for the small, home business owner who just wants to focus on writing quality content about their favorite topics.

So if you want to run a business from home, and generate income via the internet, then consider PPC as a way of making money. It’s a great option to add to your monetization strategy, particularly if you’re a beginner.

In the next post, we’ll explore 11 things you should know about AdSense when you’re a newbie.  In the meantime, you should definitely check out this free AdSense resource because of the useful tips and information it contains.
