Work From Home Free Info ~ Money And Business ~ "Google's AdSense Sends You Traffic: Myth Or Fact?"
"Work from home and earn free money in your business!"
This is what many newbies hear about AdSense when they first start out. Don't get me wrong - business online can be a great 'work-at-home' biz opportunity for many. And AdSense in particular has become a great, residual, perpetual money-earner for many infopreneurs.
But unfortunately, there are a few very basic, underlying concepts that many newbies misunderstand.
Do you know fact from fiction, as an online home business newbie? The next set of posts aim to clarify some of the confusion…
In the last couple of posts (here and then here), I gave you a brief overview of how 'Pay Per Click' (PPC) ads work. Let's continue exploring the AdSense monetization model, and how it can fit into your overall strategy, as someone who works from home.
Let's just recap quickly:
When you join a PPC program (free), they give you some code to place on your web pages. That code automatically generates adverts on your web pages. When a visitor clicks on an advert on your page, you receive money. Simple as that.
Google's Pay-Per-Click program is called AdSense. AdSense is basically for site owners who have content-rich sites. Content-rich sites are the types of sites that the C-T-P-M strategy teaches you to build, step by step .
There are many Pay-Per-Click programs out there, but Google's AdSense is the biggest and most popular. And it's really easy to implement. All you need is… traffic.
Speaking of which…
Myth Or Fact:
AdSense Automatically
Gets You Visitors
Here's a popular myth for you…
So Google run the AdSense program. This, we know. But many newbies wrongly assume that, by being part of the Adsense program, you will automatically show up and rank well in Google's Search Engine Results Pages. They assume that taking part in the AdSense program is actually the magic key to getting lots of free visitors from Google.
Urm…
No.
No, no, no, no… no.
If you think that by joining Google's AdSense program, Google will be sending you traffic, just like that, you've got a big, big surprise coming. ![]()
To someone who's new to internet marketing, this could be very confusing. Why wouldn't Google go out of their way to send you free traffic? It doesn't make sense - you're trying to show their ads after all, right?
Good point.
So in the next few posts, we're going to take some time to separate the 3 Google 'biggies', because then it will (hopefully) be much clearer what exactly does what…
The Three Google 'Biggies' Are:
1. Google's Search Engine
2. Google's AdSense Program
3. Google's AdWords Program
Each of these have different jobs - different purposes. And it's very important to know the difference between them all.
Earning money and doing business online can really be a fantastic income opportunity for the work at home biz. And in today's world (thanks to the Internet), if people want to work from home, well they are free to do so. But…
…making money online is still business (there's no such thing as a 'free lunch'!)
You do need an inherent understanding of how things work online, as an internet-based home business owner. And understanding the difference between Google's Search Engine, AdSense, and AdWords is definitely a pre-requisite.
So the next set of posts will cover Google's 'Big Three' so that you, as a new, online-home-business-owner, can develop a better understanding of the huge Internet power, that is Google.
