Your Home Base Internet Business Income ~ Understanding The Different Roles Of AdSense And Google's Search Engine
Your home base internet business income can be huge. But it really does depend on your understanding of the internet and how it works.
Listen, we all want visitors to our sites. After all, you can't make money without them, right?
So if you want to attract visitors from Search Engines like Google, it definitely pays to be 'in the know'. It's a sad fact though, that many people just don't understand the basic principles.
If you want to get free traffic from the Search Engines (so that you can earn online income from your home business), the best thing you can do is learn how the internet works… and fast. So this post aims to put some of that confusion to rest. In particular, we'll be looking at Google's Search Engine and how it relates to AdSense and traffic…
'AdSense' Does Not Equal 'Traffic'
Many newbies, who are new to running an online home business, are instantly drawn to AdSense as a way of making money online. Indeed, it's one of the easiest monetization strategies out there, if you have traffic (visitors).
Alas, when it comes to traffic, there are quite a few myths out there. It certainly can be very confusing to someone who's just starting out. Many newbies, for example, think that Google will automatically send them traffic, simply because they've joined Google's AdSense program.
To better understand AdSense, and the role it plays in the 'Google empire', it's best to have a good understanding of the 3 Google 'biggies', and the role each one plays. As I mentioned in a previous post:
The Three Google 'Biggies' Are:
1. Google's Search Engine
2. Google's AdSense Program
3. Google's AdWords Program
Each of these have different jobs - different purposes. And it's very important to know the difference between them all.
Today, let's talk about Google's Search Engine…
Google's Search Engine
We all know about Google's Search Engine: It's one of the most popular Search Engines in the world (at the time of writing this post). And for most of us it's the first place we go to, when we want to search for information online.
Google.com, Google.co.uk… when we use these sites, we're using Google's Search Engine technology.
So, what's the Search Engine's job?
The Search Engine's job is to provide you with the best quality search results for any given search phrase. For example, say you're searching for information on 'swimming techniques'. You go to google.com, type in 'swimming techniques' , and see what Google comes up with.
What do you hope to find at this point?
A list of the best pages that contain information on swimming techniques, right?
If Google came back and listed loads of pages full of poor quality information, or web pages that were totally off-topic… well it would only be a matter of time before you got sick of Google and found another Search Engine to use.
So what's Google's main aim when it comes to the Google Search Engine?
It's to attract people who want to search for information. And they do that by providing 'the best' online search facility: They aim to find and list the best quality web pages on the web, that relate to the visitor's search terms.
Now here's a question:
If they decided all of a sudden that they'd only list web pages that had AdSense ads on them… well what do you think that would do to the quality of the search results you're presented with as a searcher? Chances are, the quality would plumment like a lead balloon.
Bottom line?
You put AdSense on your site, to make money.
Not to get traffic (visitors).
If you want to get traffic - that's a seperate issue…
How To Get Free Traffic…
In order to show up on the front page of Google's Search Engine Results Pages for any given search term (say 'dog tricks', for example), you need to work on 'Search Engine Optimization' and follow the C-T-P-M strategy.
You can watch a free video by SBI, that explains the CTPM strategy very well, here…
If you want to start attracting **free** visitors to your site from the Search Engines, then I always recommend SBI, especially if you're a newbie. This will provide you with the tools to do it, and walk you through it, step by step.
If you have any questions about SBI and the C-T-P-M strategy, you can contact them here…
AdSense can be a great option for creating home-base-internet-business income. But don't confuse it's role!
AdSense is for generating online income for your home business. It's one of the best monetization strategies for newbies who have nothing to sell, but who can write lots of great content (on a topic of their choosing), and want to get started as soon as they get some traffic…
But if you want free traffic, that's a different matter altogether. For getting free traffic, it's best to learn how to master Search Engine Optimization. For newbies, I particularly recommend learning via SBI, and following their proven Content-Traffic-Presell-Monetize strategy.
The free SBI video does a good job at explaining the C-T-P-M strategy. You can view it here…
