Even If Your Business Is At Home, You **WILL** Need To Invest In Some Tools To Help Build Your Income & Wealth
Even if your online business is based at home, you will need to factor in some set-up costs if you plan on making income that builds wealth.
If you think you’re in for a free ride, or if you're so financially restricted that you cannot afford a couple of hundred pounds to buy the tools you need to get started, then please think again, before deciding to build a home business. It does take work. It takes perseverance.
And like any business, there's no guarantee that you'll even make a profit.
You **WILL** Need To
Invest In Some Tools
It is important to bear in mind that (if you want to make money) you'll be building a business. It doesn't matter whether you're building a home business or any other type of business. Any business has set up costs…
Thankfully, if you’re starting up online, you can get the necessary tools for a couple of hundred pounds. Possibly even less, depending on what you choose and the conversion rate (many of the good internet marketing and ecommerce tools are sold in US dollars these days).
A bricks and mortar business would probably cost you much, much more, but if you’re working from home, and have access to a computer and the internet, start up costs are low.
Even still, there are some people out there who really think they can get away with not spending any money at all. They don't invest in the essential tools they need…
… and then wonder why they're not earning money…
While I do commend looking for ways in which you can cut costs, there are some things that just **don't make sense** to try and scrimp on, or leave out altogether, e.g. domain name, web hosting, a good keyword research tool, mailout manager… to name but a few (I'll explain more about these in future articles).
This may sound obvious to some people. But I'm constantly amazed by the number of people who think they won't have to spend a penny to set up a profitable business. So I really want to stress this before you get into it all…
There are 'basics':
Essential things you will need.
Any business needs specific, good quality tools. A woodcutter wouldn't be without their saw. A physician wouldn't be without their stethoscope. Tools of the trade are just basic essentials. The fact that you're planning to make your money online, doesn't change this fact.
Of course you can scrimp and save on the essentials, but this will essentially make your job far, far more difficult, and may mean the difference between failure and success.
Put it this way: Say you're a delivery person, but you choose to deliver everything on foot, carrying the heavy deliveries on your back, instead of buying yourself a car or van to make deliveries in…
… how efficient, and thus, profitable do you think your business will be?
Exactly.
And long would it be, before you wore yourself out trying?
Exactly.
My point being, that if you want to actually **make** money, there are some things that just don't make sense, scrimping on. You may be saving money by running your business at home, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need to invest in the necessary tools to help build your income and wealth.
The good news is that there now exist affordable ways in which you can go about making money online. Even with a small budget of a couple of hundred pounds.
I'll recommend some affordable tools in later articles.
Next, we'll be summarizing what we're discussed so far. We'll also be exploring further important points. This will help you get a good idea of the 'bigger picture'. This is extremely important to 'get' when you're planning an online home business that makes you a good income.
