Make Extra Money With Your Home Business - The Bigger Picture
The home business internet opportunity can generate passive income for you, if you’re willing to put the work in, plan well, and follow a proven strategy (of your choosing).
So far, you’ve been introduced to a number of important aspects, when it comes to making extra money for your online home business. But there are a few more points that need explaining briefly, so that you can go away with a more accurate 'bigger picture'. It's impossible for me, the Home Business Geek, to explain everything all at once, but for this issue, here's what I'd like you to be crystal clear about:

1) You Can Make Money Online, By Writing Content …
Yes indeed. Your home business can be based around ‘monetizing content’ – an internet opportunity that lets you to create long-term, passive income. Three sub points to take away with you:
- You can choose the theme of the content you write. It can be about a hobby, like fishing or scrapbooking. It can be about something you're skilled in or have experience with, like raising kids, gardening, kids party themes, building or D.I.Y., hairdressing tips, tips for how to fill out your tax return, a second language you're already proficient in, the best places to visit at your favorite holiday destination…
… YOU know about something, that other people want to know about. That's the point. - The next point is that you don't have to be Shakespeare to write good content. Funnily enough, when you write for the web, you're encouraged to write how you talk. I went through school and university, being told to use all this 'elevated' language. Now, when it comes to writing for the web, I spend my time making sure I use short words, and writing how I talk!
So if you can communicate to a friend by talking to them, you can write for the web. Simple as that.
And if you can't spell? Just use a spellchecker! That certainly shouldn't stop you. - My last and main point is that there are many ways in which you can monetize. Indeed you can make extra money in your home business without having a product or service, without needing to stock products, and without dealing with any customers.
2) The Internet Is A **Great** Way To Build A **Passive Income** for yourself.
Hundreds of thousands of people, from teenagers, to retirees, are making money even while they sleep. Passive income ROCKS. And it's definitely the way to go.
When it comes to your online home business and making the most of the Internet Opportunity, passive income becomes a very achievable option. In fact for many people, passive income is **the goal**, when it comes to making extra money for your home business in the long term.

3) How Much Money Could You Earn?
If you're going into this, make sure you know what the deal is here:
Yes, you could earn a great second income, and maybe even earn enough to retire. Yes, it's possible to make **GOOD** money on the internet.
But it's also possible to make ZERO, or even make a loss. This is business, after all. You may make a loss, or just earn a couple of cents, or a couple of dollars per week!
It really does depend on you, your decisions, what strategy you follow, and how much effort you put in. It will depend on common sense and perserverance.
Not the latest Get Rich Quick scheme.
It's hard graft.
It requires perseverance.
It's common sense.
It's basically about starting up your own online home business so you can work from home. It's not about buying the latest gadget and sitting back and hoping it'll bring in millions.
Sorry guys - that's the long and short of it.
It does take work. Full stop.
And like any business, there's no guarantee that you'll even make a profit.

If you want to build a system that will make money for you in years to come, you **WILL** need to invest in some good quality tools, to help you make that happen.

The good news is that these tools are now very affordable, even for people with limited budgets. I will recommend tools I've used myself in future posts.
7) The last point I'd like you to walk away with today:
"This Is Not Rocket Science."
You don't need to be an internet whiz to make money on the internet. There are easy point and click solutions out there that make building your own site, a breeze. All you need to do is bring your own brain and motivation. And yes…
… elbow grease **IS** required.

P.S. I apologize for being so blunt about what to expect when it comes to the home business internet opportunity and passive income, but I'm very aware that some people will be jumping into this with unrealistic expectations, or hoping to get rich quick. If you want to make extra money for your home business, you still need to put some work in.
I really don't want to give people false hopes, neither do I want them to waste their money on tools that they may not eventually need if they decide this is not for them. Hopefully this post has helped to give you a realistic picture of what you can expect, good and bad.
